Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for an Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for a role on our Hardware Engineering Team. In this role you will be supporting Electronic Warfare and Radar Development programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform design and development of analog circuits, digital circuits, microcontrollers, FPGAs, equipment racks, circuit board assemblies, cable assemblies, and test equipment.

  • Research, design, develop, and test a variety of RF circuits including amplifiers, filters, mixers, up and down converters, and modulators/demodulators.

  • Access, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering drawings

  • Interact with other team members and software group to determine interfaces and operating characteristics

  • Develop specifications for, and perform selection of, components for use in electrical equipment.

  • Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role

**This position may be filled at the Electrical Engineer OR Principal Electrical Engineer level.

Basic Qualifications for Electrical Engineer:  

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline.

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 1 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 0 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.

  • Proficient with simulation tools such as HFSS, Spice and MATLAB

  • Basic knowledge of Digital and RF circuit design

  • Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc.

  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 3 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 1 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.

  • Proficient with simulation tools such as HFSS, Spice and MATLAB

  • Basic knowledge of Digital and RF circuit design

  • Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc.

  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Radar principles

  • Proficient designing circuitry for microwave frequencies

  • Proficient with RF test equipment.

  • Experience with PCB design

  • Experience in aviation and/or Department of Defense programs.
