The D405 Digital Enterprise (DE) Organization is searching for a highly-motivated problem solver, with a passion for knowledge capture and project management, as a Digital Enterprise Engineer - Systems. This position will be a part of the team managing Electric Boats (EB) and Newport News Shipbuildings (NNS) Data Transfers via the Consumer Repository and Mainframe feeds. The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitating meetings with key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to establish Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for legacy data transfers to codify current processes
- Identifying technical user requirements and pursuing areas for improvement of legacy data transfers
- Utilizing project management skills to ensure actions critical to legacy data transfers are written, communicated, completed on schedule and support all stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining metrics, diagrams, etc. in support of program needs
The successful candidate will be customer-focused and have excellent project management and communication skills. They will also have a high-level understanding of design/build processes and be able to think strategically while acting tactically to execute multiple projects concurrently. The successful candidate must be a leader who is skilled at problem identification, investigation, and resolution of tasking through completion.
Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows some work to be performed remotely at home. This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with as well as a few other variables. Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Applied Mathematics
- 5+ years of experience in project management
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience in configuration management and problem resolution
- Experience with Teamcenter
- Experience with 3G and other Electric Boat configuration management processes
- Experience with technical writing
- Experience working with EB Information Technology, Information Services, Engineering Configuration Management, Production Support
