The Completions Materials Planner supports and reports the Sr. Director of Planning. The Materials Planner role encompasses the procurement of materials, goods, services, and equipment required for various type of Aircraft as well as requirements for all other departments within the company. The Materials Planner shall always keep the best interest of the company and the customer in mind while executing business goals and must do so with integrity. Materials Planner will always represent the company in a professional manner.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for the planning and administration, at optimum balance of cost, quality, and supplier service of material required to support aircraft maintenance.
Communicate and resolve Aircraft material issues with Engineering, Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, and Quality Control.
Perform material requirements planning through high interaction/coordination with manufacturing personnel and external suppliers.
Working with Procurement on entering purchase orders and following up on open POs.
Procure and document aircraft and non-aircraft related goods/materials in accordance with all laws, governmental regulations using company methods and processes and following company approval and authorization policy guidelines.
Negotiate with vendors to ensure the best value is being offered.
Execute, monitor, and expedite Purchase Orders.
Assist in the development and execution of WSAs, NDAs and MSAs.
Participate in the development of company and customer needs, specifications, proposals and selection of vendors.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Purchasing Department and the company.
Coordinate with requests any specifications for requirements.
Report issues regarding vendor performance, cost, quality and delivery to Director of Sales Support and Programs.
Work with other departments to assist in the management of inventory requirements, level of stock and one-time purchases.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
REQUIRED
5+ years Materials Planning experience.
Associate or Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, or Technical field.
DESIRED
Aviation Industry experience.
Strong organization, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Experience with integrated systems such as Corridor. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) programs.
Understand and comply with company processes and best practices.
Ability to demonstrated continuous improvement.
Knowledge of production and project management.
Demonstrate high ethical standards and strong problem-solving skills.
Work in a Team setting; working respectfully, positively, and energetically.
Experience working in cross-functional teams.
Must be result driven and detail oriented.
Working Conditions
The work is performed in an office environment, aircraft hangar, at the departure gate or on the aircraft parking ramp.
