Boeing Talent Acquisition is looking for a pool of talented applicants to fill future positions as a Linux and Systems Administrator to join their team in El Segundo, California.

This position will design, install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead Information Technology projects that provide dedicated program infrastructure

  • Work directly with programs to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules

  • Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities

  • Design, install, configure, troubleshoot and provide maintenance of systems hardware, software and components

  • Ensure Information Technology infrastructure conforms with standard architectural objectives

  • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

  • Develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives

  • Determine and develop approaches to solutions

  • Receive general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

  • Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects

  • Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers

  • Represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our El Segundo, CA. location.

This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).(A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 5 years experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts

  • Minimum 5 years experience in integrating hardware and software components

  • Minimum 5 years experience with computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support

  • Minimum 5 years experience working with Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Integration in a Linux or Windows environment

  • Minimum 5 years experience working within multi-disciplined teams to resolve business impacting computing issues


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 5 years experience architecting, designing, and implementing a DevOps infrastructure for a program

  • Minimum 3 years experience working with Virtualized Systems (i.e. VMWare) design and implementation

  • Minimum 1 year experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) applications and frameworks

  • Minimum 3 years experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.)

Typical Education & Experience:

Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:
