Job summary
This position is located at any Aquatics Facility on Fort Bragg, NC Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Army NAF paysetting rules apply to this vacancy.
Major duties
Serves as the Assistant Aquatics Program Manager responsible for the daily operation and supervision of aquatic fitness, training and recreational programs, personnel, and classes at aquatic facilities. Responsible for conducting water survival training in accordance with the CWST guidance. Assists aquatic manager with coordination with the MWR marketing department to publicize aquatic events; assists with the process to evaluate the effectiveness of the aquatic programs. Reviews budget execution reports with the aquatic manager to ensure desired execution rate is met. Assists in the preparation of the annual quarterly and monthly budget input including UFR updates and request for special funding. Assists with the arrangement of equipment, supplies and services needed to accomplish assigned functions.
Qualification
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. An undergraduate or graduate degree in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology may be substituted for six (6) months of the required work experience. Possesses and maintains the following certifications: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, ELLIS. CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association) Current certifications in Lifeguarding Instructor and Water Safety Instructor. The following certification must be obtained within 6 months of appointment: Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
