Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Staff RF Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for a role on our Systems Engineering Team. In this role you will be supporting radar development programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead a team of engineers in radio frequency (RF) design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting for radar systems, to include circuit card assemblies (CCAs).
Lead the design of test equipment for radar systems and subassemblies, including automated test capabilities and RF signal processing.
Coordinate hardware design and test procedures to ensure system testing is meeting requirements.
Provide laboratory support for hardware upgrades and software release testing.
Basic Qualifications for Staff RF Design Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience; minimum of 10 years of experience with a Master's degree; minimum of 8 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
Experience leading engineering projects and tasking of team members.
Experience in development, integration and testing of RF systems.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems.
Experience with MATLAB or equivalent programming/analysis languages.
Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc.
Must currently hold OR be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior professional experience either in Radar or Electronic Warfare, or prior professional experience in immediately transferrable domain skills such as digital signal processing, digital beamforming, adaptive processing, or tracking algorithms.
Experience working with the design/testing of radar systems.
Experience developing radar emulation products/systems.
Experience in aviation and/or Department of Defense programs.
Proficient with RF test equipment.
Experience with Hardware in the Loop testing.
Electrical Engineering Degree
Current DoD Secret level clearance (or higher)
