Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist (level 4) to support growing projects across our portfolio in Richardson, TX.

At Special Projects Dallas, we produce system improvements to the P-8A including flight hardware, training simulation systems, software, pre-planned upgrades, and mission support for a recently fielded product. In this role, the project management specialist would support multiple portfolios to include Training Systems and Mission Systems & Development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads cross-functional teams in cost, schedule, technical, and risk for program execution
  • Oversight responsibility (performance management & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational goals and objectives
  • Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements
  • Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan
  • Provides in-depth analysis of projects culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans
  • Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management
  • Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules
  • Leads project execution to complete the work statement
  • Works under minimal direction from the program manager

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with program management / project management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Currently possess a Program Management Professional certification - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification OR Program Management Institute (PMI) certification
  • 2+ years of experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, etc.) and agile project management tools (JIRA, TFS, VersionOne, etc.)
  • Experience in applying Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology and analysis
  • A Top Secret clearance preferred.

Summary pay range for $115,600 - $156,400
