We're looking for a Director of Job Seeker Growth and Search to lead the strategy and execution behind growing JOBSwithDOD’s job seeker base. In this role, you will drive user acquisition in the most cost-effective way possible while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including multiple engineering squads. You'll optimize existing growth channels, experiment with new strategies, and establish clear success metrics to maximize impact. You'll also own the end to end search experience for Job Seekers to discover the best jobs for them. This is a player/coach role where you will be leading a team of product managers but also expected to roll up your own sleeves. This is a unique opportunity to shape how millions of job seekers discover opportunities while making a direct impact on JOBSwithDOD's growth.
Key Focuses:
- Develop and prioritize strategies to increase job seeker registrations and drive sustained growth
- Optimize SEO and paid acquisition channels while identifying and testing new opportunities
- Improve the end to end search experience for all job seekers, whether they start their search directly on JOBSwithDOD or on a search engine
- Define and refine cost-effectiveness metrics to assess performance across all channels
- Directly manage a team of 3+ product managers
- Lead and collaborate with engineering, marketing, and data teams to execute growth initiatives
- Balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution, from data analysis to UI refinement
- Drive a culture of experimentation and iteration, using data to inform decisions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work in Eastern or Central Time zones to collaborate with engineering teams
- 7+ years of formal leading product management experience with a track record of driving results
- 6+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams focused on growth or Search
- 3+ years of experience managing product managers
- Experience working on search, matching, and/or other Machine Learning products
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform growth strategies
- Highly organized, structured thinker with a strong sense of urgency
