Job summary
You will serve as a Transportation Assistant in the Distribution Management Office (DMO), G-4 Logistics Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Major duties
You will select modes of shipment and low cost carriers to ensure needs of the service member are met. You will initiate tracer actions and prepare official correspondence in regards to Direct Procurement Method shipments. You will validate and note information in the Defense Personal Property System (DPS) and maintain pick-up logbooks, tonnage distribution records (TDR), and the carders public files, information which is used to prepare monthly and quarterly reports. You will perform duties of a Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or Assistant Contracting Officer Representative (ACOR) for the Defense Procurement Method (DPM) contract(s). You will act as Claims Administrator in the absence of the Claims Investigating Representative. You will anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers. You will demonstrate skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing support services relating to shipment and/or storage of personal property and reviewing customer orders to determine entitlements." Education
