Job Description:

In this UAW-represented Skilled Trades position, the successful candidate will install, connect, maintain and repair pyrometers, potentiometers, thermocouples, electronic controls, magnetic valves and similar instruments. Disassemble and rebuild completely including motors (except re-wiring motors), clutches, bearings, contacts, relays, etc. and calibrate and reset instruments.

May start up and shut down furnaces and other equipment controlled by such instruments.

Position Requirements

Must be U.S. Citizen.

Must be able to successfully complete the pre-employment process including drug screen and background check.

Must obtain Department of Army Police unescorted access.

Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Must satisfy skills test- including vision, audio, respirator clearance, physical.

Working Conditions & Environment

Ability to work in production environment, including:

Lifting and handling (pushing, pulling) various parts - must be able to lift greater than 40 #.

Must be able, willing and capable of working aloft. Cannot be afraid of heights.

Wearing personal protective equipment/clothing, including a respirator.

Climbing ladders and stairs.

Climbing onto equipment.

Potential for walking and standing on uneven surfaces.

Potential for working in both overhead and laying prone positions.

Bending, kneeling, standing, stooping, twisting.

Working in inclement weather including heat and cold.

Working in areas with dust and fumes, oils and mists, and in areas with a high noise volume.

Potential for working in confined spaces.

Overtime and off-shift work may be required.
