Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant supervisory experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
The Product Owner (SAFe) is responsible for representing the customer's needs to the development team by managing the product backlog, prioritizing features, defining user stories, and ensuring the team delivers maximum value by aligning product development with business goals, acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the agile team throughout the integration and delivery process.
Responsibilities of the Product Owner (PO) includes the following:
- Be the voice of the customer to the team
- Collaborate with Product Management and ensure that prioritized Features incorporate systems thinking and comprehensively capture the value needed to meet customer requirements with quality
- Translate program objectives into detailed requirements and integration milestones that includes generating system features with clear acceptance criteria
- Work with Scrum Master and stakeholders to rigorously plan predictable cadence system patches and prioritize approved deployments to support enterprise maintenance objectives
- Support your teams participation in quarterly PI Planning Events and represent your team in ART level meetings such as ART Sync and Inspect & Adapt demos and retrospectives
- Participate in team level agile meetings such as Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, Backlog Refinement, daily standups, and Retrospectives
- Coordinate Government participation to guide and understand the priorities and obtain feedback
- Work with Program Management and Engineering leadership on backlog prioritization
- Create, maintain, and prioritize the team backlog, that is a list of stories and requirements for the product, by constantly evaluating and refining items based on business value and user feedback
- Ensure that child Stories of team owned Features, comprehensively cover all of the Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done activities listed in the Feature
- Upon Feature and Story completion, verify that the Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done are met
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, gathering feedback, communicating product vision, and managing expectations.
- Collaborate with the Scrum Master to facilitate team dynamics, communication, and problem-solving
- Coordinate the transition of new or changed service to operations
- Work with Product Management to present a vision and roadmap
- Facilitate Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) or kick-off meetings
- Provide progress and change information into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Support Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
- On a bi-weekly iteration, review health for all projects (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule) to identify and resolve problem areas
- As needed: conduct a final project review at project closeout to ensure service delivery has been completed, ownership has been transferred, records have been archived, cost accounts have been closed, and knowledge base articles/known errors have been documented
- Competency in productivity tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, SharePoint, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams))
Salary Note

Combined Salary Range
USD $148,953.60 - USD $165,245.40 /Yr.
