Job summary

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Group, Program & Business Analysis Department, Product Support Analysis Department, Air Wing I&I/EW Effects Branch of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Major duties

You will assist in the formulation of budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will assist in the development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management for organization’s programs and administrative operations. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities.

Qualification

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Extracting financial data from automated systems to format into reports; 2) Assisting with financial analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of funding plans; 3) Tracking funding, validating expenses, reviewing transactions in accounting system, and reconciling accounts; 4) Making recommendations for financial data corrections. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing entry level financial support of financial transaction processing; 2) Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word to track financial data; 3) Using automated systems for data entry. Education
