Job summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Submarine Acoustic Warfare Systems Branch of the USW Systems Engineering Division within the Fleet Readiness Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. You will be responsible for coordinating, managing, supervising and developing a multidisciplinary workforce while collaborating with various stakeholders to analyze, plan, and execute work to achieve mission readiness.
Major duties
You will be responsible for the administrative and technical supervision of personnel in varying disciplines and grade levels. You will be responsible for collaborating with project managers, customer advocates, and sponsors. You will be responsible for proper resource and succession planning of branch needs including contractor resources. You will provide mentorship, growth opportunities, and evaluation/appraisals for branch personnel. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting briefs to high level officials, military personnel, and other stakeholders. You will resolve employee complaints and hear serious problems including those where disciplinary action is proposed. You will serve in an essential role in furthering Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Program (AAP) goals and objectives.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating acquisition efforts, technical design, integration, in-service engineering, and life-cycle support for underseas engineering projects or programs. Examples of qualifying experience may include knowledge of (1) NAVSEA Technical Specification 9090.310 and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), (2) experience with TYCOM maintenance periods and CNO availabilities, and (3) experience with combat systems and hull mechanical and electrical system (HM&E) life cycles.
