Major duties

Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist and technical advisor who plans, coordinates, and executes a variety of logistics management actions in support of supply and maintenance activities. Advise the branch chief on supply and maintenance processes and procedures. Identify logistical support requirements and integrates actions in support of the division. Develop specific plans, establish milestones, coordinate actions, adjust plans and schedules based on changes or delays incurred, and develop alternate courses of action to ensure mission accomplishment. Provide guidance to the supply and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations and policies. Manage logistics functional systems to include the security and the integrity of the data processed within the systems. Coordinate planning for installation and extension of automated supply and maintenance logistics information management systems.

Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes:1) Performing basic logistical duties associated with the coordination and integration of numerous activities; 2) Utilizing computer software to maintain records, documents and/or produce reports; AND 3) Conducting studies to identify and resolve problems concerning logistics operations. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Logistics, Advanced Supply Chain Management, and Service Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Skills Planning and Evaluating Supply Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Education

Evaluations
