To exercise supervisory and managerial authorities over the 66th Logistics Readiness Squadron, in the 66th Air Base Group, serving as Director, executing the full scope of responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Squadron and long-term planning for the installation's readiness. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the squadron.

Major duties

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/ long term priorities and prepares schedules for competition of work. Plans, organizes and oversees the activities of the Division, ensuring that logistics management operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Participates in special logistics operation projects and initiates and performs special assignments. Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have or will have within 120 days of the closing date of the announcement at least 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, NH-2 or equivalent, GS-12 (or higher) grade level (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector). Experience includes using the knowledge of concepts, principles, procedures, regulations, laws, and instructions applicable to the Logistics; providing technical assistance to supervisor regarding duties; and preparing programs, policies, and activities regarding logistics. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the applicable logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support. 2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices and procedures. 3. Ability to identify, analyze and translate complex information, make appropriate judgements and evaluate options. 4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors. 5. Ability to analyze, plan and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 6. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Additional information about position In this position, you will serve as a senior logistics director responsible for leading, training, and developing 64 full time civilian and military personnel while overseeing the integrated planning and execution of all aspects of logistics management to include, supply, distribution, ground transportation, aircraft passenger terminal, and wheeled vehicle maintenance operations. You will also oversee personnel readiness and base deployment activities as well as an extensive air base support agreement portfolio
