Job summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Management Analyst within the Tactical Aviation and Gound Munitions Operations Directorate, Product Office of the Program Executive Officer (PEO), Missiles and Space on Redstone Arsenal.
Major duties
Provides guidance to management regarding multiple personnel functions within the assigned project office. Schedules training for staff in multiple personnel training systems (i.e. Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) and Army Learning and Management System (ALMS). Uses organizational human resource management requirements to assist in the development of job descriptions, training plans, and awards. Utilizes established automated systems (i.e., Defense Civilian Personnel Data Systems (DCPDS) and AUTONOA) to initiate personnel actions. Uses the Defense Travel System to assist the Project Office Organizational Defense Travel Administrator.
Qualification
Term Appointment NTE - Position will be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 2 years. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years and may be made permanent without further competition at management's discretion. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year which includes experience (1) evaluating regulations and procedures to include researching, analyzing, and interpreting and applying rules; (2) obtaining information from an established automated system; (3) utilizing personnel policies to make recommendations. This definition of experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01 or GS-04). OR Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
