Job summary

Major duties
You will serve as a CRANE OPERATOR HELPER/CRANE OPERATOR WORKER/CRANE OPERATOR in the Weapons Department of STRATEGIC WEAPONS FACILITY PACIFIC. You will move equipment, containers, missiles, explosives and missile components using equipment such as pendant, cab-operated bridge and mobile/boom cranes of various capacities. You will also be using Truck and Rough Terrain (RT) cranes and all sizes of trucks to include 40 ton truck and trailer combinations, forklifts of various sizes to 30,000 pounds capacity. You will handle materials to include non-explosive equipment as well as missiles and missile components containing explosives and delicate instruments. You will operate facility boom and bridge cranes in support of shipment/receipt, outload/offload, and maintenance of TRIDENT missiles, missile components and missile support equipment. You will conduct vehicle and crane inspections prior to use and perform preventative and corrective maintenance as needed. You will operate specialty equipment such as Kneel Down Transporter (KDT), and trucks of various sizes including tractor trailers to transport equipment, containers, missiles, explosives, and missile components within various areas.
