Job summary
You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the OPERATIONS ANF STRATEGIC SUPPORT OFFICE of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND. If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $139,395 - $181,216.
Major duties
You will help establish, maintain and/or provide strategic and operational support. You will exercise a broad range of personnel management and supervisory responsibilities over a group of program and management analysts You will provide authoritative advice, technical assistance, and support to many types of line managers within the command or project management office, and organizations within and outside of the Department of the Navy and Federal Government. You will participate in high-level management meetings as an authoritative representative of the command’s top management, regarding cognizant areas. You will provide a wide range of substantive oral and written presentations and reports to high level officials, military and civilian, both within and outside the Navy Department.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Establishing, maintaining and/or providing strategic, operational and analytical support to fleet operations and maintenance throughout the full life cycle of aviation weapon systems and related equipment; 2) Planning, directing, or conducting a wide range of studies that involve developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on, or improving effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower use, distribution of work assignment, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and other similar functions of management; 3) Applying a comprehensive knowledge of management functions, processes, and principles, and of the methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate information concerning the management process; 4) Initiating, planning, and conducting comprehensive studies, reviews and data analysis of operations and processes.
