Job summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: FT. GEORGE G. MEADE, MD

Major duties

Collaborate with licensed clinical social worker to recommend treatment plans and monitor treatment participation to track progress Maintain case records in accordance with regulations. Provide information to clients about the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). Compile information regarding alleged incidents of domestic abuse and complete a safety assessment. Coordinate services with the installation Victim Advocate for resources, emergency shelter information, protective orders, and other supportive services. Review Family Advocacy System of Records to determine if there are previously recorded cases. Provide psycho-educational treatment classes and co-facilitate clinical group treatment.

Qualification

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1)Collaborating with a licensed clinical social worker in developing recommended treatment plans and providing case management services to include ensuring that treatment plan approved treatment plan is carried out by the client; 2) Compiling information about the specific incident, as well as previous incidents, and/or other personal and family problems to include the extent and prior efforts toward problem resolution and client's own resources; 3) Gathering collateral information through discussions with unit personnel, family members, record review, or other sources. OR Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as such as Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Child and Family Welfare, Counseling, Family and Community Services, Behavioral Science, Human Development, and Sociology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages. Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
