Job summary

You will serve as a LOGISITICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the AIR SYSTEMS GROUP, LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT, MAINTENANCE DIVISION, LOGISTICS INTEGRATION (FIXED WING) BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV (AB31400).

Major duties

You will determine best approach in planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture. You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements. You will develop, review and submit associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives. You will provide analyses on degraders and data gathered from logistics management information systems in the execution of logistics and program planning documentation. You will interface with DOD, OPNAV, supply chain managers, the Fleet, Fleet Support Team, field activities, test and evaluation organizations, other NAVAIR entities and contractors in performance of duties and in the resolution of issues. You will serve as a representative at the ILS Working Groups, Logistics Products and Process Reviews, Integrated Logistics Assessments, Milestone Reviews, Maintenance Working Groups, etc., in support of the program. You will be responsible in collaborating with USAF/USN/USMC/USCG stakeholders for aircraft production, coordinating GFE, CFE, in-line with scheduling and execution of all Air Vehicle contract deliverables. You will serve as a critical point of contact between NAVAIR/NAVSUP/Lakehurst logistics subject matter experts liaison to USAF C-130J SPO throughout the acquisition of new air vehicles. You will collaborate in AFLCMC/WLNN DMSMS as a liaison for the Program Office regarding all sustainment elements of platform Air Vehicles. You will assist with managing RDTandE, EMD and sustainment resources allocated to the platform Air Vehicle IPT to include determining requirements, configuration management, POM submissions, and execution of funding. You will be expected to create, define and manage Air Vehicle logistics requirements for procurement, spares and risk reduction contracts while providing active input to SOW/CDRLs. You will be expected to participate in active market research, BCAs, Gap Analysis, DoD wide efforts to strategize sustainment efforts for the platform. You will be expected to travel, manage and support multiple in person and continuous TEAMS meetings, OEM, SPO, and Air Vehicle IPT regard the status of all production elements for platform Air Vehicles. You will participate in multi-faceted working groups to forecast and mitigate platform Air Vehicle DMSMS as well as Operation Availability issues impacting future production and fleet readiness.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and implementing product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost; 2) Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations associated with supportability and logistics in the acquisition of aircraft, aircraft systems, and weapon systems; 3) Assisting in submission and defense of Integrated Product Support (IPS) budgets and supporting cost information to achieve program goals and objectives; 4) Participating in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks; 5) Preparing and/or delivering presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements/implementation; and 6) Assisting in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases.
