Description: We’re looking for an experienced and motivated communications professional to craft strategic executive communications as part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Communications team. Reporting to the Vice President of MFC communications, the person in this role will lead, develop and execute an integrated executive communications engagement plan that drives business outcomes and positions the MFC President as a global industry thought leader.
What You Will Be Doing
For a level 4, we typically look for a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Basic Qualifications:
Exceptional executive writing, speechwriting and editing skills, including the use of AP Style.
Experience creating and implementing communications plans.
Ability to build both strategic and tactical plans that drive perceptions, deliver key messages and get results.
Familiarity with a wide variety of communication channels, techniques and emerging technologies, with a natural curiosity that leads to continuous improvement.
Proven exceptional strategic, written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
Ability to work well under pressure and remain focused and professional while working with employees and customers at all levels in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Proven team leadership skills with a special emphasis on growth and development for team members.
Due to the nature of the position, ability to occasionally work on off-Fridays, weekends, and holidays; travel required.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in communications and/or customer engagement with proven leadership in Communications, Public Relations and/or degree in one of the following or related disciplines: Marketing, Journalism, English or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment marketing communications.
Attention to detail, adaptability, and a sense of urgency.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
A self-starter who can be depended upon to ensure the accuracy and quality of content with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Ability to multitask, adapt and work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure with employees at all levels.
Proven strong strategic communications mindset with experience delivering business results and success measures.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including executive management.
Comfortable providing coaching, new ideas, sensitive feedback and real-world lessons learned to leaders at all levels.
Demonstrated executive presence.
Working knowledge of the defense/aerospace industry or diversified industrials sector

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Serve as an experienced executive communicator, advisor, and project manager.

Develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Leads development and execution of strategic communications plans to support business objectives and executive thought leadership.

Creates and executes internal and external communications plans to ensure timely, impactful, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Collaborates with MFC and LM communications teams for seamless integration and execution of executive communications.

Demonstrates excellent project management skills to execute multiple communications engagements concurrently.
