Job summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties
You will receive incoming requests for material by part number of National Stock Number (NSN). You will obtain technical information by research of supply catalogs, various technical manuals, and specific Navy websites. You will advise as appropriate as to suitability of substitute items offered by suppliers in lieu of requested material. You will apply knowledge of organizational and intermediate level aviation related maintenance programs to correctly predict material requirements for consumable components, to identity maintenance problems, and to identify critical requirements. You will review, analyze, and correct the Fixed Allowance Analysis Report (FAAR) arid the Repairable Stock Requisition Status Report (RSRSR) as required. You will answer inquiries for technical information such as allowable substitutions, units or elements needed for repair or modification, supporting parts and tools, maintenance requirements, perseveration and storage techniques, and vendor sources. You will resolve a variety of difficult procurement problems concerning complex equipment by determining alternate methods of supply such as fabrication and in-house manufacture. You will inspect equipment/material to determine identification, application, technical manual data, usage, tolerances, maintenance and overhaul requirements, reparability, modifications, properties, characteristics, and operational peculiarities.
Qualification
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing supply systems to monitor and reconcile supply transactions and determine future material requirements in order resolve supply support problems. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: General Schedule Qualification Standards (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education

The percentage of the required graduate education plus the percentage of the required specialized experience equal one hundred percent.
