Job summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL PSYCHOLOGIST/INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEM SPECIALIST in the EXAM DEVELOPMENT DIVISON of NETPDC. This is an interdisciplinary recruitment, and applicants may qualify in either the Psychology 0180 or Instructional Systems 1750 Series.

Major duties

You will plan and conduct validity and reliability studies to analyze prepared test items and develop recommendations for revising test items to improve clarity, adequacy and increase reliability. You will design and develop learning modules, course material and training manuals as applicable and determine the appropriate learning environment for each session. You will conduct needs assessment to evaluate the success of each training program, determine the level of learning and retention while assessing the transfer of training to job performance. You will oversee work within the department to support the production of enlisted advancement examinations. You will facilitate project teams to determine the appropriate scope of projects and methods required to meet training goals. You will help design, plan, and periodically conduct a variety of validation studies and assessments for divisions related to military rating and advancement exams.

Qualification

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising personnel on the concepts of military testing procedures; 2) Identifying requirements, procedures and methods in support of DoD examination development; 3) Developing or revising tests, training/course materials, aids, and devices; and 4) Evaluating training and examinations to determine strategies for improvement of processes and procedures.
