Job summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the Director, Strategy and Future Requirements Division of COMMANDER, NAVAL REGION JAPAN. ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.
Major duties
You will serve as a senior civilian advisor on strategic planning, future (i.e. long-range) planning, existing business processes, process improvement initiatives, metrics analysis, corporate governance and resource and performance management. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust long-term priorities, and prepares schedule for work completion. You will direct and coordinate operations necessary to accomplish the assigned responsibilities of the Strategy and Future Requirements Office. You will oversee the work of both civilian and foreign national personnel in the performance of management and program analyst functions. You will coordinate a variety of initiatives including Continuous Process Improvement, Corporate Governance, Metrics and Business Coordination, and Integrated Priority List Coordination. You will ensure Commander Navy Region Japan's Strategic Plan is in alignment with the strategic plans and direction of higher authority.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interacting with high-level officials to provide executive-level oversight, management, guidance and direction of administrative and resource operations; to include department planning processes and assessing performance improvement initiatives. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
