Job summary

You will serve as a Substance Abuse Program Coordinator in the Headquarters and Support Battalion (HQSPTBN) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER . The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

Major duties

You will develops and administers an installation-wide Substance Abuse prevention and education awareness program for assigned military personnel and other military tenant/support elements You will identify, track, and coordinate training and draft appointment letters for Urinalysis Program Coordinators, Assistant Substance Abuse Control Officer (SACOs), and observers. You will schedule, collect, label, and process random urinalysis tests and administers breathalyzer test to at least 10% of the command, monthly. You will serve as the initial point of contact for all individuals entering the Substance Abuse Program. You will develop installation-wide substance abuse prevention education plan of instruction and develops lesson plans for all training conducted.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing Prevention education, alcohol and drug abuse prevention training, coordinating, monitoring treatment and care for individuals undergoing counseling, performing a variety of administrative and technical support duties involving the Substance Abuse Program. Education

Applicants may also qualify based on education OR a combination of education and experience, in lieu of the one year specialized experience listed above, through ONE of the following:Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related Must have a combination of specialized experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal 100 percent.
