Job summary
About the Position: This is a Realty Assistant, GS-1101-07 position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, Real Estate Division. The duty location is Fort Worth, TX. This announcement is for current, permanent Army employees that would like to be considered for a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade. Major duties
Update real estate information for civil works and military projects using Rental Facilities Management Information System (RFMIS) and Real Estate Management Information System (REMIS). Assist with the collection of data for market value estimates for real estate projects. Perform timekeeping duties for an office using Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) Verify account balances to ensure sufficient funding to cover labor charges for an office. Create purchase requests using Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) Prepare routine correspondence pertaining to real estate activities for an office. Respond to technical requests for information such as status of reports or suspense dates concerning real estate matters. Prepare real estate documents for civil works and military projects.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Maintaining or preparing real estate or contract documents for an office; OR 2) Performing assistant duties such as: timekeeping, recordkeeping, purchasing office supplies or services, or preparing routine correspondence for an office. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
