Job summary
You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the PLANNING YARD DIVISION, ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.
Major duties
You will provide centralized coordinated management of a program to achieve the programs strategic objectives and benefits. You will develop basic resolution skills to address issues and change management within a shared governance structure while using specific rules, regulations, or procedures to complete work assignments. You will attend meetings requiring the application of expertise from a variety of technical engineering disciplines and is required to keep higher grade analysts informed of the overall status and condition of assigned projects/programs. You will work with higher grade analysts to provide long range planning for technical and production support, determining what support is required and ensuring schedules are met. You will provide recommendations to senior analysts on the support required to meet schedules. You will have developing responsibility to establish project/program annual budgets within respective program. You will serve as project management assistant ensuring sound execution across cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Qualification
For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing current and proposed operating budgets and programs to evaluate their actual or potential effectiveness in achieving objectives. For GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in the analysis of program trends to improve programs efficiency and effectiveness. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related For GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education or Superior academic achievement.
