Job summary
You will serve as a PRODUCTION PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES PROCESS DIVISION of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Major duties
You will analyze and determine causes of production delays. You will determine the need for rerouting work in order to solve production problems encountered. You will analyze production data and recommend solutions to problems encountered, e.g., bottlenecks, backlogs, excessive time consumed, lack of capability in the shop to accomplish the work, etc. You will provide lead interaction with various support codes and trade shops, who are responsible for execution of production task. You will monitor the operations of programs/projects to measure progress toward reaching objectives effectively and economically. Identifies actual or potential problem areas, trends, significant accomplishments, deficiencies and areas of imbalance. You will be responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects and programs. You will manage and monitor the execution of production programs and ensure commitments, obligations, and deliverables meet program requirements. You will ensure resources are available to successfully accomplish the completion of production requirements. You will prepare briefings, charts and graphs to provide senior leadership an up-to-date view of current work schedules and statuses. You will review and revise plans no longer in concert with mission or higher headquarters directives. You will assist with development and review of production training and recommend changes that will improve the processes and provide better support.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning production projects; conducting studies and analyzing production operations data (e.g., schedule, safety, quality, logistics, resources) to identify trends or deficiencies, and develop performance improvement methods and techniques for the timely and efficient completion of submarine maintenance and repair projects.
