About the Position: This position is with the 401st Army Field Support located in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. This position will be filled as Term NTE 13 months with the possibility of extensions. This position is unaccompanied in support of Operation Spartan Shield. This is an Emergency Essential position.

Major duties

Coordinate and lead property accountability and asset visibility operations at dispersed locations. Develop guidance for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to inform contractors of fiduciary requirements. Serve as a command logistics systems integrator as well as functional and technical advisor on Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS), Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A). Establish support operations in conjunction with other accountability teams to work operational issues. Resolve complex logistics problems affecting numerous activities and units throughout all geographical areas. Recommend new property accounting and management support concepts to accomplish goals and policies.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assessing logistics program/process effectiveness to recommend improvements; 2) Utilizing automated systems (for example, GCSS-A or LMP) to conduct property accountability and asset visibility operations; and 3) Implementing corrective actions to improve program effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS- 12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Organizational Awareness Organizational Performance Analysis Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
