Job summary
About the Position: USASOC Enterprise Guard Force, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Major duties
Coordinates with proper authorities in admittance of visitors from various services/organizations, i.e. U.S. Army/Navy/Air Force/Marines, foreign dignitaries, Congressional Delegations, and private contractors. Make inspections of various posts to assure compliance with instructions, requirements, standards of conduct, appearance and efficiency by subordinate Security Guards and takes corrective action as required. Provides input on performance standards and performance appraisals for new employees. Identifies potential vulnerabilities and initiates corrective action. Trains security guard personnel on the multi-capable computerized badge or pass, computerized alarm system and to perform operational checks. Inspects packages and materials carried by persons and maintains records of personnel entering/departing controlled areas. Applies a body of established rules, regulations, and legal authorities to enforce specialized personnel access procedures and detect trespassing violations to protect and prevent unauthorized access to highly sensitive restricted areas.

Plans and assigns subordinates to various duties on a rotating basis and issues orders and instructions. Interprets and clarifies new or revised rules and regulations. Writes and presents oral reports of incidents to the chain of command for review. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Access Control Operations Accountability Leadership Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????05).
