Job summary
You will serve as a Lead Quality Assurance Specialist (Shipbuilding/NDT Level III) in the Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Major duties
You will confirm that contractor performed work conforms to contract and NAVSEA requirements. You will perform trend analysis on certification testing results to measure critical attributes, detection rates, and false called to determine effectiveness of training. You will develop and execute an oversight program that included witnessing inspections, administrating technical performance evaluations, and documenting deficiencies to monitor and improve the efficiency of the command's program. You will compile data from surveillance, evaluation, inspections, audits, and reports into a formal program review. You will respond to inquiries from engineering, maintenance teams, and contractor QA representatives in regard to material assessment as well as recommend repair actions on complex critical systems. You will analyze quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or conditions and weaknesses in government and contractor quality systems.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring and assessing quality and execution, analyzing problems, and leading improvements to assure the competency of inspections and oversight personnel as the Nondestructive Testing Level III. 2)Investigating to analyze and resolve NDT and Welding critical issue affecting ship's critical structure, machinery, and piping systems. 3)Developing NDT quality assurance programs and plans to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of quality systems.
