This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties
You will perform repair functions, modification, parts replacement, calibration, disassembly, check and test of items like tachometers, computers, automatic flight control systems, navigation and guidance instruments. You will refinish, repair, and replacing defective parts such as dial, pointers, springs, coils, resistors, capacitors, potentiometers, valve bellows and various semiconductors. You will identify and screen incoming new and used bearings. You will unpack bearings, prepare routing instructions and prepare for cleaning.
Qualification
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have demonstrated the ability to perform the following tasks: 1) Performs standard repairs specified operations and checkout of mechanical, electrical and pressure components/assemblies;2) Performs repair functions, modification, parts replacement, calibration, disassembly, check and test of such items as tachometers, computers, automatic flight control systems, navigation and guidance instruments, electromechanical, dimensional, optical, electronic components and test equipment;3) Using hand tools common to the electrical; electromechanical, dimensional, optical and electronic instruction mechanic trades, in addition to having knowledge of basic mathematics to perform measurements and calculations.
