Job summary

You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Employee Relations) in the Human Capital Management Group, Employee Relations Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Major duties

You will responsible for the management administration of the Workers’ Compensation Program. You will serve as primary liaison for supervisors and employees in communicating with Department of Labor on claims and entitlements of injured workers. You will assist in the development of case documentation, ensuring that all required forms are completed and signed before submission to U.S. Dept of Labor (DOL) case examiners. You will perform reviews of workers’ compensation claims and documentation, determining completeness and timeliness, and reviewing for accuracy. You will monitor Portal (ECOMP) for final processing. Receives, reviews, and submits medical and other factual documentation to the DOL.

Qualification

To Qualify for the DA-04 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Providing expert counseling and processing workers' compensation program; 2) Ability to work with Employees, Supervisors and U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) internal and external clients; 3) Providing research and technical expertise, program and policy advice and guidance to employees and leadership on workers' compensation matters and; 4) Demonstrating experience in applying U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Workers' Compensation regulations and guidance. To Qualify for the DA-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Demonstrating experience counseling and processing workers' compensation program or similar HR Program experience; 2) Ability to work with Employees, Supervisors and internal and external clients; 3) Ability to research and provide technical expertise, program and policy advice and guidance to employees and leadership on employee relations matters.
