Job summary

THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN JFHQ IN J1, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D1106000. If you would like the complete list of duties, please contact the POC of this announcement.

Major duties

Serves as a final reviewer of actions, which may include but are not limited to: accessions, promotions, transfers, boards, promotion eligibility; retirement eligibility; and actions that affect eligibility ect. Researches and obtains all necessary relevant information regarding cases and issues and provides explanations and interpretations of rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements Serves as the primary point of contact, coordinator, and advisor for questions regarding Military Funeral Honors and/or Casualty Assistance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification

MILITARY GRADES: E4 through E6 Career Management Field (T32 Army): 00F GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of the position; are you experienced in using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws; experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions; experience performing personnel transactions; experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control. Knowledge of requirements for proposed actions to ensure that documentation is correct and sufficient; and have the ability to review organizational records, duty codes, medical, and educational regulations in order to analyze the information and determine the propriety of the action submitted and that all levels of legal, medical, and administrative review are complete. Specialized experience may include human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force, or similar human resources experience.

Education

You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-07. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Courses must be at the graduate level. To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
