About U.S. Army Sustainment Command

The 401st Army Field Support’s mission is to leverage the power of the Army Materiel Command (AMC) and the entire Materiel Enterprise to support the readiness of U.S. Army Central Command (ARCENT). As part of the ARCENT team, the 401st provides logistics support to military and government agencies working to build readiness and security capacity in the region. We accomplish this mission by integrating and synchronizing the reach back capability of the AMC Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs) and Program managers under the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA-ALT). Today, the Battalion operates within the ARCENT Area of Operation (AOR) in countries such as Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and UAE supporting joint military forces and government agencies such as the U.S. Department of State.
Job summary
About the Position: Serves as the Property Book Officer for installation property. Acts as principal advisor to the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) in all matters of property book operations, automation and consolidation. Please limit your resume to 5 pages. Major duties
Ensures the installation is adequately supported when required with assistance teams, inventory teams, inspection teams and material handling support. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term and long-term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Receives, establishes accountability and distributes top-level systems through coordination with the Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) and other agencies outside of Camp Zama Assists with investigations and monitors the Financial Liability investigation of Property Loss (FLIPI) and Inventory Adjustment Program. Responsible for the overall accomplishment of the mission/objective of the Installation Property Book (IPBO) and serves as the Functional Administrator for the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) used by the IPBO Utilize current accountable property system of record APSR systems, applications, and products in data processing-based systems for authorization management, disposition of equipment, requisitioning, receipt, storage, and issue of supplies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-09. OR Education: Successfully completed a PH.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.M., if related. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Possess the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have more than four years of undergraduate level but less than 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree as described in B.
