Major duties
You will serve as Financial Technician, Comptroller Department (N8), Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Va. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the government. You will work accurately with figures. You will establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts for active, reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data. You will make collections not related to pay and leave., maintaining retirement records, or processing health benefit forms.
Qualification
GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet Experience clearly and effectively articulating, presenting, and promoting. Experience making clear and convincing oral presentations, istening effectively; clarifies information as needed GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience meeting the needs of both internal and external customers. Education
