Job summary

You will serve as an EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the COMBINED ARMS TRAINING CENTER ofCOMBAT ARMS TRAINING CTR CAMP FUJI JA . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***

Major duties

You will develop, coordinate, and manage the CATC Camp Fuji Emergency Management Training and Exercise Plan (TEP), ensuring compliance with emergency management-related directives, regulations, policies, civil rights laws, standards, and guidance. You will provide technical advice on installation preparedness and response activities associated with natural and/or man-made disasters. You will review and assess installation plans to ensure the capability to continue essential functions during all hazardous conditions or events. You will provide exercise planning, development, task management, execution, and post exercise assessment support of joint and bilateral exercises.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, coordinating, and managing Emergency Management Training and Exercise Plans AND providing technical advice on installation preparedness and response activities associated with natural and/or man-made disasters. Additional Information Continued: This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement and Alternate Placement Programs. You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
