About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Product Assurance, Quality Control Division, at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Major duties
Perform inspections on major items of missile and radar control systems. Utilize special test equipment to locate deficiencies. Conduct in-process analysis to verify acceptance standards. Collaborate with depot inspection personnel to resolve inspection. Complete deficiencies forms to verify correction by appropriate shop personnel. Assist in providing information with the development of inspection plans.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to Inspect. Perform common Electronic Integrated Systems Inspector duties to include: 1) maintaining inspection standards on major items components to locate sources of trouble; 2) reviewing in-process work to ensure completeness of end product; 3) conducting final inspections to determine quality of work is in compliance with acceptance standards. Provide technical assistance on standards and procedures for inspections. - Failure to meet this Screen-Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Use Hand and Power Tools - Electronics Ability To: Inspect Ingenuity (Ability To Suggest and Apply New Methods) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Theory of Electronics Trouble shooting (Electronic Equipment) Use of Test Equipment: Electronics Physical Efforts: Work assignments involve standing, stooping, bending, walking, and climbing. Routinely lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. For bulky items or items of excessive weight may use additional personnel and/or materials handling equipment as needed. Working Conditions: Work is normally performed in adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated areas. Most buildings have cement floors and a few are unheated. Some work may be performed outside, subject to inclement weather. Occasionally work is of dirty, greasy nature with noise from production associated operations. There is a possibility of cuts, bruises, and strains.
