Job summary
You will serve as a CURRICULUM DEVELOPER in the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Major duties
You will design complete training materials which include tactics, techniques, and procedures inherent in ground combat operations. You will develop full length courses and review existing training materials to determine relevancy. You will identify and develop tactical architectures for war fighting concepts, capabilities, and techniques. You will coordinate with designated organizations in the development or refinement of required doctrinal publications, manuals and systems/equipment.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and implementing course content and training materials related to combat operations; conducting training program evaluations; AND providing recommendations for curriculum improvements. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled OR Possess a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
