Job summary

You will serve as a CRANE OPERATIONS MANAGER in the LIFTING & HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.

Major duties

You will direct through subordinate supervisors, all operational assignments of Weight Handling Equipment adhering to time, cost, safety and quality standards. You will manage the execution, planning and quality control for all nuclear and non-nuclear work in the Crane Operations Division. You will direct the execution control process of a project and provides input into the project execution strategy. You will develop plans to provide manning, facilities, material and equipment to support scheduled and unscheduled work. You will eliminate potential bottlenecks to minimize effect of actual work stoppages or delays encountered You will manage the reassignment of workers among the work groups as required to balance the workload and adhere to established schedules and priorities. You will provide evaluation and oversight of branch skills training to ensure improvements to processes are incorporated and training plans are adjusted to address deficiencies.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating weight handling operations to develop production plans and schedules that provide the proper allocation of manpower, equipment, and material resources required to execute lifting and handling workload requirements.
