About U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command
Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) is an US Army Military Installation located approximately 45 miles West of Salt Lake City, Utah. TEAD is a premier active joint ammunition storage site. TEAD is responsible for shipping, storing, receiving, inspecting, demilitarization, and maintaining training and war reserve conventional ammunition. Tooele’s Ammunition Equipment and Manufacturing Directorate (AEMD) designs and manufacturers ammunition peculiar equipment (APE) used in maintenance and demilitarization of munitions for all the Department of Defense (DoD). The Depot is in Tooele County and surrounded by the communities of Tooele, Grantsville, Stockton, and Rush Valley. The area surrounding the depot is as an urban center for a highly varied productive industrial and agricultural industries.

About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Tooele Army Depot. This position serves as a Blocker and Bracer (MVO) Supervisor, performing as a technical and administrative supervisor over mobile equipment and motor vehicle operators.
Major duties
Analyze work schedules and determines availability of manpower and equipment to meet deadlines. Supervise and coordinate scheduled and required motor vehicle and mobile equipment support to include transportation of explosives, hazardous materials, ammunition, etc., Provide off-installation truck support for pickups and deliveries. Develop performance standards and counsels' employees on performance. Organize, coordinate, and direct the work activities of the teams. Prepare and update operating instructions and work schedules; develops work standards; spot checks work operations; and reviews completed work.

Applicants must meet the screen out elements to be considered further for the Blocker and Bracer (Motor Vehicle Operator) Supervisor, which includes instructing others on the operation of tractor-trailers to ship and receive ammunitions and/or explosives, and warehousing and storage of these components; and training others in the blocking and bracing equipment on truck trailers using blocks, braces, or other staying devices; and leading others in the operation of truck-tractors with semi-trailers and Strad-O-Lift trailers to haul explosives, munitions, and components. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Measurement and Layout Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Physical Effort: Moderate lifting/carrying between 15-44 pounds may be required. Working Conditions: Required to work both inside and outside exposed to fumes, smoke, and gases and around machinery
