Job summary

About the Position: Serve as an Administrative Support Assistant with the Jacksonville District - Programs and Project Management Division.

Major duties

Provide administrative support to the PPMD Division as well as support throughout the division. Review and prepare official correspondence. Provide guidance on administrative procedures to other administrative personnel in the division. Maintain Division Chief's calendar and schedules appointments and meetings. Monitor suspense reports and tracks various budgets. Screen calls and visitors while performing office administration. Serve as the Training Coordinator for the office.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in performing a variety of clerical and administrative work for an office such as experience in using various office automation systems (MS Office), experience maintaining databases, tracking deadlines and suspense reports, and experience monitoring/tracking budgets e.g. training, travel, and supply].This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a qualified typist able to type 40 words per minute. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Reasoning (Clerical/Technical) Training and Employee Development Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Note: To support the Time in Grade (TIG) requirement you must submit a copy of your latest non-award SF-50/NPA that reflects your highest grade held on a permanent basis along with your application/resume package. Failure to do so may affect your rating or consideration for employment.

Education
