Job summary
You will serve as a Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Site Lead for NIWC Atlantic.
Major duties
You will serve as the first line Public Affairs representitive for leadership support and execution for Public Affairs duties in Command Information and External Engagement for the Hampton Roads civilian and military team. You will be the primary liaison to Media Engagement, Visual Information, Congressional response, Internal Information, Community Outreach, and Protocol for Hampton Roads. You will oversee the primary internal and external communication functions for NIWC Atlantic required for the civilian and military workforce in Hampton Roads. You will provide supporting Public Affair teammates with Command Information and External Engagement training, mentoring, and guidance, under the direction of the NIWC Atlantic Public Affairs Director. You will be responsible for originating solutions or developing appropriate interventions for management on internal and external communications challenges, You will apply appropriate methodologies and techniques to organizational strategic and operational events and situations that may require enhanced communications across all levels of the organization
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in creating and disseminating Command information including accountability to the public, full disclosures, expeditious releases, alignment AND/OR ethics through Media Engagement, Visual Information, Congressional responses, Internal Information, AND/OR Community Outreach.
