Job summary

You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Naval Service Training Command of NSTC GREAT LAKES.

Major duties

You will develop policies, provide guidance, and quality assurance on all administrative processes. You will analyze and review documentation procedures and controls, files, directives (notices and instructions), forms, records control, and disposal procedures. You will develop and conduct training to staff and subordinate commands and maintains an effective records disposition program, ensuring that the functional file system for the organization meets all regulations. You will advise internal and external customers on agency administrative policies and/or procedures. You will distribute, manage due dates, and balance workload among subordinates, setting priorities based on overall priorities of the command, and preparing schedules as needed.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading and managing staff to plan, coordinate, and direct administrative operations across the command; 2) Proficient in application of analytical techniques to identify and resolve procedural issues and problems across multiple functions and/or commands; 3) Performing analysis, determining requirements, and application of recommendations for program effectiveness and efficiency in administrative and management methods; 4) Communicating orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner in order to provide information related to organizational, administrative and procedural matters; 5) Overseeing, Coordinating, and administering administrative operations that ensure compliance with established guidelines and requirements; and 6) Managing multiple concurrent tasks, setting project priorities, milestones for work accomplishment and coordinating completion within required deadlines. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related or Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
