Position Summary

At Jet Aviation, were more than just aviation expertswere the artisans of flight, crafting seamless travel experiences from the ground up. As Vice President of Operational Planning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our U.S. FBO network. This executive leadership position is responsible for airport relations, lease negotiations, capital project oversight, and facility management while driving network-wide operational efficiencies and innovation. You will also lead the real estate development team, standardize ground service equipment (GSE) operations, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a heavy travel-based, role to support our US operations and location, current and future. The baseline range for this exempt position, will be $240,000 - $260,000 annually, and is based on your regional location, plus a performance-based bonus up to 35% of annual salary.

Your Profile

  • Industry Leadership At least 10 years of experience in FBO or airport operations, with deep expertise in fuel management, GSE, and facility oversight.
  • Strategic Airport & Lease Management Proven ability to negotiate complex airport leases, establish long-term partnerships with airport authorities, and manage high-value lease agreements.
  • Financial & Business Acumen Strong background in budget management, P&L oversight, data-driven decision-making, and identifying revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Capital Project & Real Estate Development Experience leading large-scale real estate projects, hangar development, and multimillion-dollar infrastructure investments.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Expertise Deep knowledge of environmental regulations, fuel farm operations, and industry standards (DOT, ATA 103, EPA, SWPPP, SPCC) to ensure compliance across all FBO locations.
  • Operational Excellence & Innovation Ability to standardize operational processes, optimize facility maintenance programs, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Executive Leadership & Team Development A proven leader who fosters a high-performance culture, builds strong teams, and drives organizational success.

Your Role

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with Jet Aviations long-term financial goals and customer needs.
  • Oversee and manage high-value airport lease negotiations to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead capital projects and real estate development, ensuring infrastructure investments are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Drive network-wide facility management standards, optimizing repair protocols, preventive maintenance programs, and vendor selection.
  • Oversee the standardization of GSE operations, including procurement strategies, equipment lifecycle management, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and fuel quality control, maintaining adherence to all industry regulations and best practices.
  • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, conducting market analysis and driving profitability improvements across FBO operations.
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
  • Represent Jet Aviation as an industry leader, engaging with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and the General Dynamics network.
