Raytheon Air and Space Defense Systems, Requirements and Capabilities team is seeking a Tactical Strike Director, who will report to the Tactical Effects Director for Air and Space Defense Systems. The Director will support the growth and execution of multiple Raytheon current and future strike weapons programs. The Tactical Strike Director responsibilities in this capacity include, but are not limited to, mission analysis, customer requirements assessment, new business capture, budget allocation, and compliance. Ultimately, imparting guidance in keeping with Raytheon core values is the primary goal. This position is also responsible for new growth opportunities within the Air to Ground suite of weapons.
What You Will Do
- Communicate with external parties not employed by RTX including customer base, vendors, and other government employees
- Negotiate and influence potential customers for purposes of growth to the business
- Support proposal activities for follow-on work and establish investment strategies
- Enhance the development of the strategies, manufacturing plans/roadmaps, advancement of next generation technology, and promoting future growth for the programs
- Travel frequently both domestically (60%) and internationally (40%)

Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 14 years’ experience in requirements, business development and/or program management or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience
- 10+ years’ experience navigating growth strategies within the USG Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System, the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution process, and knowledge of US and international requirements and acquisition processes
- 10+ years’ experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations and International licensing processes, and experience working with DoD agencies that support export of weapons, to include, but not limited to, Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs, Defense Security Cooperation Agency, Operational Combatant Commands, and System Program Offices
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated customer intimacy across the DoD specifically with USAF and USN organizations
- Strong understanding of exportability requirements and growth path to Foreign Military Sales; experience shaping Letter of Requirement with foreign customers
- Experience communicating complex technical knowledge to the technical community outside of Raytheon to include customers, media, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in developing and presenting Strategic Plans, AOP, Technology Roadmaps, and planning to senior management
- Active and transferrable USG issued Top Secret Clearance prior to start date
