Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking to hire a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Learn more about the Sentinel program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
In this role, the successful candidate will provide technical leadership in the development and execution of investment portfolio (e.g., NCTA, CAPEX) focusing on the technical aspects of each project including review of performance and helping ensure a solid technical plan. Successful candidate will also provide technical leadership in the development of the modernization plan including technology roadmap(s), transition strategies, sustainment approaches, and modeling, simulation and analysis of alternative approaches.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with at least 8 years of related systems engineering experience, 6 years with a master’s degree.
- Active Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- 3 years’ experience in the ICBM community
- 5 years’ experience working on DoD contracts
- 1 year of experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A)
- 1 year of experience with project management and execution of a large complex program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with evaluating mega project complex schedules
- Ability to work in a high stress, quick turn environment
- Experience with preparing executive and senior leadership briefing content
- Experience as a NCTA Principal Investigator/Program Manager
- 2-3 years of experience supporting technical trade studies

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
