Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Support Equipment Manager 2This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Focuses on the technical development and financial execution of the Sentinel Support Equipment scope.

  • Will represent the Support and Training (S&T) organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with complex projects.

  • Act as an advisor to leadership and customers, and mentoring/training subordinates.

  • Identifies and addresses program risks and opportunities.

  • Mentors staff in problem solving.

  • Facilitates technical solutions.

  • Provides staff with the appropriate resources to solve problems.

  • Removes process/programmatic blockers.

  • Performs to defined program and department schedules.

  • Will have an extensive background across the Support Equipment (SE) product development life-cycle.

  • Primary technical areas of interest to support this role include: understanding of OPSCON and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTAs), Support Equipment requirements development and definition, and conducting design reviews with leadership, customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Required to perform in a high pressured and often changing environment and must possess a well-developed sense of engineering judgment with the ability to apply it to real-world applications.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) disciplines from an accredited university and 6 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree in a related discipline and 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

  • 6 Years of experience with Support Equipment hardware development for aircraft/aerospace programs; including requirements generation, conceptual/detail design, design reviews, and/or testing.

  • Experience with Support Equipment requirements analysis, trade studies, SERD generation, design solutions, acquisition, test, and validation.

  • Must be an expert with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

  • 1+ years' experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) disciplines (mainly with SERD/MTA development)

  • Experience with Systems Engineering tools (CAMEO/DOORS) and architecture

  • Proficient with 3D design/2D drawing CAD in NX

  • Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM

  • Proficient with GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009

  • Experience working with specialty engineering stakeholders (PM&P, Safety, Human Factors, others)

  • Experience leading a team of engineers

  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience

  • Possess an EVMS Certification

  • Hands on experience in equipment maintenance, fabrication, assembly, and measuring tools

  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written; and ability to read and understand technical requirements documents
