Quality Assurance Systems Specialist II in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
This position will support the Quality Management System sturcture with a focus on the development and management of technology tools. .
Position Skills Needs:
- Organization based on priority of assignments
- Skills in Excel, Solumina, SAP, and supporting technologies
- Ability to coordinate and structure documentation based on business requirements
- Production emphasis to support internal GAC team

- This position DOES NOT require sustainability knowledge
Education and Experience Requirements
Job Description
- Implements and maintains quality management systems and procedures.
- Ensures efficiency and accuracy in the maintenance of quality systems, documented processes and procedures.
- Evaluates effectiveness and maintenance of QA documentation databases, creates reports, audits accuracy, interprets results and identifies systems trends and process deficiencies.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements through the development and application of or record retention requirements.
- Works with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Materials and other business units to evaluate processes in support of internal operating procedures to ensure quality systems objectives and requirements are included.
- Prepares and delivers management reports and presentations.
- Evaluates existing systems for improvement opportunities. Creates process maps, flow charts and systems procedures.
- Researches submitted process changes for consistency with existing processes/procedures and compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Actively supports corporate initiative in resource sustainability and business continuity. .
- Promotes, encourages and supports continuous improvement culture. .
- An Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is may be used in combination with four (4) years of related experience (in addition to the experience requirements below) in lieu of the degree requirement.
- ASQ certification (CQE) and/or experience as a FAA recognized airworthiness designee highly preferred.
- A&P license preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AS 9100 or ISO 9100 is preferred.
- Understands and is able to apply and communicate to others: blueprints/specifications, Quality Control System Requirements.
- Computer literate-capable of working within the various software applications utilized throughout the corporation.
