L3Harris is actively seeking a talented Overhead Finance Specialist to join our Spectrum Superiority (S2) Sector team, available in Salt Lake City, UT. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and Forecasting: Support the planning and forecasting of internal departments’ overhead expense budgets.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal business partners to ensure forecast accuracy and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare and present financial data for executive updates and conduct weekly finance reviews.
  • Strategic Financial Support: Provide strategic financial support, variance analysis, and involvement in special projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with finance and internal business partners to prepare and manage department budgets and headcount.
  • Prepare and review monthly forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior management.
  • Analyze historical and current trends and provide variance analysis.
  • Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.
  • Interpret complex financial data to deliver actionable recommendations for management decision-making.
  • Produce clear and precise weekly and monthly financial outlooks and ensure timely submittals.
  • Maintain high attention to detail.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Finance.
  • Experience in finance within the Defense & Aerospace industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with and understanding of financial processes and systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization.
